omg..that ring is one of my fore runners! i dont have a soltiare per say ,.i have a princess cut center and diamonds along half my band...<3 that ring!
I loveddd this idea! I was pretty close to buying one like this:

(from jared, only $300 btw)
but ended up getting a solitaire enhancer. I just couldn't resist the sapphire side stones! Maybe if I had found more bands with gemstones I would have gone that way, but the closest contender was this one:

now, however, I just noticed this one on the jared site:

maybe an anniversary thing one day? tehe
do you have a picture of your enhancer @MissNerdy? I have thought about going that route only with Emeralds! If I found an intricate artsy band with diamonds and emeralds I WOULD DIE. :) :)
I don't get to wear it for another 3 months (!!) so this is the only picture I was able to snap before it got taken away from me and hidden :-(
I love it! AND because we did sapphires instead of diamonds, the ring was only $600 and adds SO much to my solitare!
My ring is from Samuels. They didn't have it out in the display case, but as I was trying on the diamond enhancers I mentioned wanting gemstones and the girl went and got it out from the back. We discussed doing pink sapphires but I just fell in love with the blue, so I think it would be possible to do emeralds!
ETA: I love the idea of adding a detailed band along side my whole set too. However, FI might have a heart attack if I suggested another ring for myself at this point lol. Again, maybe later
Gorgeous! All of these are sooo pretty. I have an intricate wedding band-- only 8 months until I can wear it! I'm also doing your plan of simple solitaire with a more intricate wedding band-- something that I can wearing separately sometimes and still be stunning. It's a moissanite eternity band, so if I have to get it resized someday, it's not a big expense to replace it. Sorry the pics are huge and kind of blurry. This was in indoor yellow light-- they are much whiter than this!
@littleaudrey - I love your band! And love that I got to see how a band like this would look with a solitaire! I love that it is gorgeous on its own or as a set. where were you able to find your band with Moissy? I am getting a Moissy solitaire, Id love to find an intricate and unique moissanite band to go with it! :) Thank you for sharing your pictures!
@Eloping19: Thanks! I got both at moissaniteco.com so it was a risk ordering it not being able to try it on, but I'm glad I did. If you check out their site, look for rings separately-- I checked the anniversay band section, ring hand rings, as well as eternity rings. I think that resulted in the most variety. Hope you find something you like :)
Swoon! That is a gorgeous ring! Where, oh where oh where did you find it??? This is my new E-ring and I would love to find a wedding band like the one in your pic. I think that style would go nicely with my E-ring (here is a pic)
@Andr0meda: I found it on ebay! I dont know how I would feel actually purchasing it on ebay (although the paypal protection is good and most ebay stores offer returns) here is the link:
@LittleAudrey: Thank you for the tip! I didnt even think to check out other sections on moissaniteco.com - The wedding band section just had a lot of pave and channel bands... glad to know they have some other unique options! :) **opening new window and going to moissaniteco.com right now!!**
Thanks for the link! I can't believe that gorgeous ring is only $143? I see the seller has 100% positive feedback so that is a good sign. I think I would be more nervous about it shipping overseas from China? At a price like that though, it's almost too good to pass up. It could always be a RHR if all else fails. Very pretty. I am very tempted!
You are welcome! I will live vicariously through you girls on WB right now since I am still waiting :) and yes I agree, for that price it is so worth it to buy it and see it in person.... and either return it or use it as a RHR like you mentioned :) here is another similar one that is in the US & 160$ ... If you search art deco or vintage ring a lot of similar rings come up!
Love this thread--it fits my ring exactly! I found my ring at a small, artsy jewelry store in town. The artist who makes these is Russian, but happens to live in my city right now (Madison, WI). Mine is the bottom right:
@MissAnnie: oh i love your ring!! My only concern with the one I had posted it looks a little too fragile but yours looks very delicate yet durable!! Does it get caught on a lot of stuff with the swirlys?

I think this wedding band is absolutely to die for! I love really unique intricate bands paired with a classy solitaire!! I am still waiting to get my solitaire from my SO, but this is definitely something I would love to eventually pair it with! Show me your intricate artsy bands with your solitaires!
