What an adorable kitty! We saw a few at the humane society yesterday that we wanted but we have to make sure they will get along with our other cat!
oh my - she's so cute! Tammany says hi! I wish we could get a second cat, but Miss T (sadly) has a "1-cat-per-house-please" / "I don't share well with others" attitude for other animals ;(

Yay! Thank you for adopting an *older* cat. Kittens sell themselves, but it's hard to get people to adopt the ones that aren't "babies" anymore.
Both of my kittehs were rescued at 1+ years of age.

Congratulations! She is so cute and looks very snuggly. My cat (also a rescue) looks a little similar, except her markings are black and white instead of gray and white. 
She is SO cute! Can I have her? ;)
@hotchild: your tortie looks kind of like ours and we adopted her at about a year and a half old from a shelter. I'm with you and take pity on the kitties that aren't "babies" anymore.
@eryepye: We felt so awful for her. She came in with her kittens and all her kittens got adopted, but not her :o( Everyone kept walking by her cage and saying "too bad no one will take that ugly cat." So of course I had to have her. I think she's the cutest thing in the world.
@hotchildinthecity – I can’t believe anyone would think your cat was “ulgy” – she’s lovely and has such unique markings! We had gone to the shelter with plans to adopt an older cat, since I agree that they are often neglected, but had a sort of opposite experience from you.
Our cat’s mom has come in with her two babies, and as we were looking at all the cats to be adopted – someone reached in and took out on of the babies. Then a few minutes later, someone reached in and took out the mama cat to be adopted, leaving Tammany all alone in the crate. She was just this tiny little thing, and was fast asleep, and never woke up when they took her mama away. I just about started crying and FH was like “umm, what’s up?” so I said “that poor little kitten. She went to sleep with a mama and a brother and will wake up all alone!!!” – Guess who we came home with!? ;-)
@hotchild: I don't know how anyone thinks your cat is ugly! She is the cutest little thing!
I know I've put mine up here before but had to share another kitty friend for Office Bride's kitty!

Awe, all these cute kitty photos are making me sad. I use to have a cat, named Runt. He was orange, and was the runt of the litter, and no one else wanted him, so I took him. I had him for 3 years, and then one day I opened the door, and he ran out, and we haven't seen him since. It's been almost a year now. My only hope is someone else found him, and he is safe. He was my favorite cat.
I wish I could get a cat now, but our apartment won't let us have animals. =[

Yay so many sweet kitties! We found our two adorable cats almost 3 years ago at the Humane Society. They're the best!
I'm at work and can't post a pic of our kitties...but I like seeing everyone else's!
Our two cuties came from a shelter and were older as well. I love how cats can stop anyone's ego from getting out of control - all it takes is one of their patented looks.
@ Hotchild - Your tortie is so pretty! My older cat is a tortie too. "Santa" picked her out for me when I was 12, she was the smallest of her litter and she had a hernia, she was the last one picked. I get compliments on her every time I have her in the waiting room at the vet! Also, every tortie I know is so sweet!

My FI and I picked her up this weekend! She's a 2 year old full of love and cuteness, and we saved her from being sent to the Humane Society!
