Glad there is finally some action on this board. I’m wondering if this just isn’t a popular month to get married in?! I picked February because I live in South Florida and wanted an outdoor wedding, which is tough in the spring/summer because it rains so much and it’s very hot! Actually hoping it’s in the 70s for my Feb. wedding!

So here are some of my wedding details: I’m getting married at a historic mansion on the bay. The ceremony will be on the water and the reception will be in the courtyard under bistro lights. I’m envisioning a “romantic” theme – pinks, golds, silvers, greens, and lots of candles.

I already have my photographer (lover her! we just did our engagement photos and they came out great!), dress (romantic blush/champagne a-line), and food. I’m so excited about our food, the caterer is amazing. We are going to just do a small cake and instead have a dessert table with mini desserts, truffles, and french macarons.

Woo! I’m another February bride getting married in Santa Cruz! Our date is the 15th. I also hate summer, and ideally we’d be getting married in the fall (my favorite season) but I’m a teacher and that’s a horrible time of year for me with getting my classroom going. I’m excited to get married in February though, especially if 2015’s February is like 2014’s! There was gorgeous wedding this year!

We’re getting married at the beach, but inside our venue (I hate the idea of walking on sand in the most expensive dress I’ll ever wear). We have a slight Valentine’s Day theme – only slight. Our colors are fuschia, raspberry, bubblegum pink, white and gold glitter. We have our venue, caterer, photographer, videographer, rabbi, my dress, some candy bar supplies and we’re close to booking our cake, dj and florist/rentals.

i’m just trying to get through the school year before really throwing myself into planning and thinking what I should DIY…

Hi all.  Our date is also the 15th, basically it was the only date that worked for our Ontario guests and our Irish guests, so we ran with it.  And to back track, my FI is Irish (born and raised) and I’m Canadian.  He moved to Canada 3 years ago and we met there… the rest is history.

My new initals will be SOS, which is pretty awesome since we both work in emergency management.

We’re having a ski hill wedding (we met skiing) and its a one stop shop.  Everyone will be staying at the resort, the ceremony is there, the photos are there, the reception is in a ball room there, boom.  It’s been super easy and a blast to plan this far.  I have all the DIY to finish (eep!) but most of the rest is either booked or planned but needs to be booked.  The colours are red and white (both our flag’s colours and we’re getting married on flag day in Canada), and we’re using lots of fake snow, real snow, cranberries, pine cones, greenery, candles to decorate.

Everyone’s plans are so different, I love it.  I can’t wait to see all the weddings unfold.

Hi everyone,

My name is Karla, I’m 21, and I’m getting married on February 13, which is my 6 year anniversary. My fiance was my high school sweetheart, and we’re so excited to finally be tying the knot (we were waiting for me to graduate from college).

I’m having a very traditional Catholic wedding, since both of us come from very traditional Mexican families. My colors are blush and champagne and I’m still debating on adding some silver. I just got my dress, which is this gorgeous blush and gold trumpet style that I’m in love with!

Hello!

I am super excited to be posting here. Me and my fiance were originally planning Feb 2016 but we decided what the heck and booked a venue for 2015. We live in New Zealand and in our region 28th of Feb is just coming to the end of the peak of summer.

I have a BSC in Biology and work in a laboratory. My fiance works as a sales rep which means he is out on the road a lot. I am 25 and he is 23. I feel really young to get married but at the same time we want to be able to get a house soon and start trying to have a family(and a dog.) We live with 2 flatmates at the moment.

We are planning to go to the UK and USA for our honeymoon a few months after the wedding as we have friends and family over there and it will be a last big trip for us.

We are going for a relaxed, casual, slightly rustic day. The venue has space for the ceremony which we might follow with the cake and champagne (pfftt who said you have to have dessert last) followed by speeches, dinner, dancing etc… This is of course provided we manage to organise everything on time!
