(Closed) Invitation assembly for doily inner envelope

    I used the doily envelope and tied my invites with bakers twine and had the doily flap facing up.  It just more aesthetically pleasing.  If you’re not going to tie them up though, it will be hard to put them in the envelopes in that direction.

     Just know that if you’re going to use the doily envelope, you’ll need to size up on your outer invitation envelopes or they won’t really fit.  My poor husband had to stuff like 200 of them in there and they just barely fit!

    I like it the “right” way – with the back of the doily. That way, when guests open the invitation all the way, they’ll get a little suprise of the prettiness of the front of the inner envelope. Otherwise they might thing it’s an envelope liner that got unstuck.

    @louisianablue:  Can I ask where you got your doilys from?  I’ve been trying to find 9 inch paper ones and can’t find them anywhere!

    I bought mine on ebay.  It’s the only place I could find the size I wanted.
