I am using interfacing (sewn in kind used to underline clothes) as my belly bands. I printed out the design on the interfacing and used double-sided rolling tape to attach ribbon to the top and bottom which holds it pretty well. I need to figure out how to get the band to actually loop though since the tape isn’t working for that. Fabric glue is too stiff, and both sewing a seam or using iron on hem tape is an insane amount of work. Any ideas?

Have you tried something like glue dots? It sounds like it’s just too substantial for double sided tape so you may need to go a more substantial route. Of the ones you mentioned I would vote iron on hem tape. Though you’ll want to be careful not to burn the actual paper with the iron.

@Almost Mrs.P: Thank you. I’ll try the glue dots. I tried an Elmer “flexible” glue since the Jolees was stiff but the Elmer’s made the ink run. If the dots don’t work I’ll probably do the hem tape. The belly bands are interfacing and ribbon so I’ll take the invites out before I use the iron so they don’t burn, thanks for the tip! 🙂
