- Wedding: November 2011
Hi bees! I work with 4 other people, one of whom is going to be on maternity leave when I get married so that leaves 3 to decide whether to invite to our wedding reception or not.
The problem is that I don’t really like one of the other people I work with very much so I don’t want him to come to my wedding reception. But even though I don’t really like him, I feel like it would be mean and wrong to single him out to be the only one from my workplace to not be invited. I don’t want to hurt his feelings. To be honest though, I have no idea if he likes me or not so he might not even want to come anyway.
Another thing is that the two people I do want to invite are both managers, so if I did invite only them it might also look like I’m sucking up to the bosses – which I’m not; it’s just that I genuinely like them and not this other guy. But, if I don’t invite anybody I kind of get the impression that the two I that I do want to come might feel a bit upset.
I feel a bit stuck – should it be all or no-one? – what should I do, and is there any way to get round this without feeling like a horrible person?
