Trying to figure out how to assemble/hold the invitations together without using a bellyband. Or do you think using a black bellyband is too dark for a wedding invite?
This is the one we got: http://www.etsy.com/listing/43698322/diy-custom-wildflower-invitation-templat?ref=vt_related_1

I saw this string thing today, and thought it was WAY cooler than a bellyband

I would use a purple belly band (or thick ribbon) to bring out the purple in the invites.
But if you don’t want a belly band, then you can always use inner envelopes. I’ve also seen many invites without belly bands or anything to hold them together.

thanks misscremebrulee! think its weird if it doesn’t have anything and its just thrown in the envelope?
I like the bellyband, but i dont know if i can find one to match the purple.,..

I agree with you on not liking the belly band – seems clunky on that design.
Maybe you could do a raffia bow? For some reason I think it might go with the wildflowers.
And tie it in both directions (like a box) but off center a bit:
Hey look! We’re date twins!
