So I am having a picnic/barbecue wedding in April. I wrote before about the fact that I ended up deciding on a formal dress and it was suggested that I dress up some other aspects a little to coordinate with my dress but keep the theme the same.
Now I’m wondering about invitations. I had a very casual one picked out with mason jars printed on them, very cute. But since I have dressed it up a little more, those don’t seem appropriate. I’ve been looking for ones that combine the rustic/dressy a little but can’t seem to find any in our price range. I found some great ones on Etsy, but some are going for $7 each.
Where did you all get your invitations? Did you see anything that looks like what I am looking for? I have been on wedding paper divas, and saw a few, but nothing that I really love. Any suggestions?

@Daisy82: welcome to the bee. can you tell us a bit more of what you are looking for. what are your colours? how many invites? would you be interested in a diy kit? do you prefer them simple white with design or would you go for coloured invites?
can you show us what you found on etsy to give us an idea of what you like?

vista has some good designs and prices. I found some really cheap plain white ones at a craft store in canada – micheals – and I created a design using shapes on word.
quality may not be as great here from transfering and changing to a jpeg, but you get the idea. mine are cosint me about 50 cents an invite!
I hope you find a good design/ price that you are looking for – always just keep it simple, you really can’t go wrong as long as they are clear and understandable
