So I am having a hard time with the invitations. I have gone back to the drawing boards over and over. The invites have to go out in two weeks… Please help. I’m having a relaxed but elegant wedding at a lakehouse. It’s somewhat rustic but not over the top. What do you think?
Option 1: Light lettering printed on Dark Grey Cardstock
Option 2: Lettering printed on cotton blend paper mounted to grey cardstock.

I like the second one better. The first looks more modern and the second more traditional, what’s your style/theme?

My fiance thinks that the dark grey background one looks like i”m inviting our guests to a burlesque show, or a dance club. Don’t ask me why he thinks this…

I think I like the second one better too, because of the border. It looks more elegant. 🙂
Beautiful invites, I really like the fonts!

I like the first one best but beware when printing onto dark cardstock… there’s no such thing as white ink if you’re printing it yourself…

While I love the white lettering on grey card stock the ONLY way to get while ink on dark paper is to have them screen printed so unless this a a printing option for you.. go with the second option.

@mainejen: Yup, depends on how you can have it printed since not all printing methods will show light on dark.
