I’ve spent weeks working on the pocketfolds for my invitations and checked the dimensions of the inserts several times, but never thought to check the envelopes for the RSVP cards. I just tried one and they’re too big for the pockets by maybe an eighth of an inch!
I’m thinking about just laying them outside the pocket, because I really want to go ahead and use the pocketfolds. Anyone have any other ideas, or should I just scrap them?
I cannot believe I didn’t check this sooner, I feel SO stupid!

trim the rsvp cards with a papercutter

@SoonToBCJ: Can you not turn the envelopes the other way? It may be too long that way, though. 🙁
Maybe you could wedge a knife a tiny bit thru the inner sides of the pocket, to open it up a little more. Just enough so the envelope can slip thru. It may be a tight fit, but it’ll probably work. If not, you may can make your own envelopes to the measurements of the rsvp card. You can buy a ream of paper for relatively cheap. There are videos online on how to make your own envelopes. It’ll take more time, but that would work. Good luck!

Can you just trim? Or take the stack to kinkos and have them trim them for you. It’s around $5 a cut per stack.

Fold the envelopes in half and still place them in the pocketfolds?

Thanks for the suggestions, ladies! Fi suggested folding them too, and that’s what I wound up doing. Not the cutest thing ever, but I’m just glad to have them done and ready to send off! 🙂
