So my fiance and I spent the holiday yesterday working on our invites. We went to Staples and got them printed and then cut and glued them on our own at home. We spent all day working on them and ran out of glue around dinner time so we thought that we should stop and take that as a hint to pick up the work again later. My problem is I woke up last night at 2:00 am and could not get back to sleep. I was worried that these invites look too arts and crafts and that people will think that we cheaped out. Please give me your input.
These are not completly edited photos so there is a little more cutting that needs to get done. They are also cell phone pictures taken at 2:00 am so they are not the best quality.

I like them. Is there some way to tie the purple and green together though?

@AlwaysSunny: Maybe a ribbon to hold them together in the envelope? I was trying to figure out what to add to tie them together too.

Are they all finished? I would try to cut them so that they’re uniform and straight, but no one but you will see all of them together, so it doesn’t really matter…

@peachacid: They aren’t finished being cut. I need to go back through with an exacto knife and make sure that all the sides are the same size and width. We don’t have to send them out until the middle of July so I wanted to take my time with cutting them down to size.

I think these look beautiful! Not at all cheap. I don’t think you have anything to worry about 🙂 It makes such a nice touch to make your own invitations! I really like the borders you have used.
ps – we have the same wedding date! 🙂
