What if you did a belly band around all the inserts? depending on how the paperclip looked it would work too
I actually kind of love the cute paperclip idea! Unless your wedding is formal...
The wedding definitely isn't formal! But I do like the belly band around the inserts idea too! Thanks guys :-)
I think nice (unique) paper clips would be fine, but a basic paperclip might look a bit out of place. Of course the belly band is a good idea too.

I am DIY'ing my invitations and used the gate fold card from Cards and Pockets. I have the RSVP card/envelope, a postcard with reception information and a map on the back, and a little card with hotel/wedding website information on it. Since my invites don't have any pockets in them....would it be tacky to use a cute paperclip to keep all the inserts together inside the invitation??
