Invitation Inserts...How did you do it?

I'm looking for suggestions from anybody that made their own inserts for their pocket folder invitations. Did you cut to the right size, THEN print, or the other way around? Did you use Word to make them? If so, what kind of format did you use? Did you print more than one per 8.5x11 sheet of paper? I'd really appreciate any suggestions you might have on this. Thank you!
