I’m trying to determine what is the best weight for my invitations.
I’ve gone with pocketfolds (80lb) and invitation mats (80lbs). I’m planning for a linen paper for the invitations, and for all the information cards.
Can anyone recommend a weight? I see 80lb in the store, but have no problem ordering paper if I need to (and want to get that done ASAP, so I can get these things printed soon). I’ve also seen lighter paper, and heavier.
Would you do the invite and cards the same, or make the invite lighter (since it’s attached) and the cards a heavier material?

I think it should be 100lb or heavier… 80lb is usually used for the lightweight business cards

I think 80lb will be fine, especially since you’ll be using invitation mats.
What are your plans for RSVP…postcard or traditional w/envelope? If postcard, I would recommend 100+lb…

I have made my own pocketfolds. The pocketfold I used 81# TEXT weight paper over cardstock because it’s lighter but still made a nice pocketfold.
For the inserts I’m using a linen paper 80# TEXT weight.
For my RSVP postcard I had to use a linen 80# CARDSTOCK because that’s the lightest weight you can use for a postcard.
My whole suite uses a regular stamp! 🙂
