Beautiful invite! I love the way it’s laid out with the photo.

    1. I like the blue, I don’t think it matters that it isn’t one of your decor colors. I think the blue is cheerier than grey, and I don’t think coral would go as well.

    2. Kinda confused about this – since there’s a vertical line in the middle of the postcard, this looks like the back to me, with the address on the right. If that’s not the case, I’d remove the vertical line. I don’t really have any wording suggestions because I think the wording is great as is, but you could put a few seagulls there. Love those on the invite.

    3. Still readable. And I’m a pretty big stickler about that.

    4. I think it looks nice as is. All caps might be too shouty.

Very nice, I like the layout a lot.  I don’t think “The” should be capitalized in the “the sun, sea…” line.

Also, to simplify I would probably just put ‘reception to immediately follow’ instead of breaking down cocktail hour and dinner.  But your way is completely fine too!

    1. Should I leave them blue? Although it goes really well with the actual picture in the invites, our wedding colors are coral, grey, gold and ivory – NOT blue. Should I just leave them? Or should I change the color of the wording/images on the RSVP?

The invite and the RSVP cards do not go together at all right now, colour or imagery.

Coral and grey would look really lovely, and I think blue for an accent colour the way it is in the invite image right now would be fine.

Try using two different colours for the fonts – one could be grey, one could be coral.

    2. I wanted the blank space on the right hand side of the RSVP to somehow indicate to “leave us a message”. Instead of our address at the top, is there a clever/short way to say this? (Our address will be stamped on the back of the RSVP postcards in order to return them, so no need to have it on the front too IMO).

I don’t get what kind of a message you want guests to write. It would not occur to me to write in that top corner of a postcard.

    3. I am a little concerned with the color of the wording in the invite. Does the bottom part of the text fade too much into the bottom of the picture or do you think its still readable?

It’s fairly illegible, and a good deal of that is your font choice. I would lower the image to be the bottom third only and not have any overlayed text. You can also check free but curated sites like fontsquirrel to find different font options for your plain font. If you’re pairing it with calligraphy I think a serif would work much better.

    4. Also I would like to possible change the text on the invitation (besides our names in calligraphy) to ALL capitals in order to make things look better – what do you think about that? Leave as is to make things simple or get the guy to change all the text in the invite (not RSVP) to capital letters?

ALL CAPS uppercase or lowercase or sentence case? “The” in the sun etc. line being capitalized looks really off.

You’ve got the ship’s wheel on the RSVP and the directional needle on the invite and they look like they are very different visual styles than the image you’ve used for the invite. You could probably tidy things up by picking just one of the images and putting it on both.

    1. Although Blue is not one of your colors…I think it works best. Your other colors wouldn’t work because then it would be just too light. The only other color I can think would be black

    2. I don’t think a message on the RSVP card is needed…if you want the guests to leave you a message or some words of encouragement save that for the guestbook. I would just put your address in that space which is how it usually is

    3. I really can’t read the words on the picture. Also it should be two thousand and thirteen (you forgot AND) I would just say reception immediately following instead of what you have there

    4. I don’t think you need all caps for your names unless it’s going to be small all caps

I think this sounds shorter and less wordy:

    Cocktail hour at five thirty

    Dinner and Dancing to follow

@llgraham: I like your suggested changes, except for using all caps.  I wouldn’t use all caps. I’ve always heard the website should not be on the invitation, however, if the website mentions registry information.  Your website may not even mention registries, so that may be irrelevant, but I am sharing just in case.  Some people feel that if the invite has the website on it, and then the website has the registry on it, it loosely implies that you are requesting gifts which is a breach in etiquette.  I am sure many people do not abide by that rule, so do as you like.  I am just sharing the information.  For me personally, seeing a website on an invitation would not be offensive even if it had registries; however,  I still will not put my website  link on my invitations, as I don’t want to risk offending anyone.  We did a charity registry only and I am still not including it.

@llgraham:  Definitely the newer one! The first one the font didn’t stand out much from the background and I like the coral(?) color 🙂 . Though it might be me and my bad vision but the font looks tiny? Either way overall *thumbs up* Cool
