Nah youre fine with the layout you’ve currently chosen. It all sounds good. Any extra information about the venue can go on the ‘more info’ card and I would put ‘adults only reception’ on the invitation card itself. Some people put on the invites ‘followed by adults only reception from …pm’ or something like that on the invite itself under the ceremony info. You could do that or just leave it, most people will know its the same venue from that.

Miss Coral:  We are just writing “Dinner, Drinks and Dancing to immediately follow” on the bottom of the invitation in lieu of a reception enclosure.

Miss Coral:  It’s not tacky to write “adult reception to follow” on the bottom of the invite.

Miss Coral:  I’ve been told/read that putting adults-only on the actual reception is tacky. We are putting it on our wedding website and getting in touch with everyone who has children to let them know they aren’t invited.

I wouldn’t put the “adults only” on the main card. I would mention the reception on the invite (you could steal Mrs. Pyramids Dinner, Dancing and Happily Ever After to Follow wording) and then include the adults only either on the info card or the website. Southern girl here too, and that seems the most proper way to handle it.

Mine is saying “Adult Reception to Follow” at the bottom of the invite as there won’t be a wedding website or an info card. Just a main invite and an RSVP card. There maaaay be an accommodations card depending on how many out of town guest we have. But I’m sure there won’t be too many.

In Turkey, I have noticed most wedding invites will have at the bottom of the invite… “And we wish your children a good night..” or something to that effect. I will find out the exact wording and I think we will use this on our US wedding invitations. It seems like a nice way to say adults only wihtout having to come out and say it.
