I ordered my invitations unassembled just to save some $$ - the woman who made them suggested Xyron adhesive. I ended up using it for multiple projects & it worked really well. I found it at Target - it's a handheld roller (like the white-out you roll on) but it leaves tiny adhesive dots. I don't know why it wouldn't work on the envelopes, too, just make sure to get a packages of refills because they go quick.
3M double sided tape also works well for MANY things like envelope liners, ribbons, and wraps!

I just recieved my invitations, but wanted to wrap the ensemble with ribbon. What is the best adhesive for sealing the ribbon at the back? It just needs to stick to itself. Also, what is the best adhesive for attaching envelope liners?
