Oh no, that isn’t cool at all! It makes me sad when stuff like this happens. At least you know to resend it and that it wasn’t just taken totally.

I think I’ll be putting our directly into a big blue mail box thingy, so no one can touch them!

Yes, I am SO paranoid about this! I never ever leave things in an unsecure box overnight. They either get put in a blue mail box or I run out in the morning and throw things in (especially at work).

Ugh that is so frustrating! I hope you have a few extra to resend.

I am also very paranoid about this and thankfully we have those secure community mail boxes where outgoing and incoming mail are in locked boxes. After our wedding my aunt sent a gift card to our old address ($100 for Target) and of course the landlord didn’t tell us. I know he kept it, he is of the questionable and shady variety, despite having all of our contact information. Very sad.

LOL my mailbox door always hangs open, so I never use it for outgoing mail unless i want it to get soaked. I’m sorry about your invite!

I sat waiting to see my post man come down the street when mailing out invites beacuse our mailbox leeks and our neighbor kids are… terrors.

@liquidschwarrtz:  Girls used to do this in the dorms too! When Netflix movies would come they would keep them (as in forever) and the poor intended reciever would probably get billed for it. So frustrating! I wish there were easier ways to hold people accountable when we knew this was happening. I filed a complaint on our previous landlord regarding the gift card but really nothing can be done.

Glad you had a few extras to send out. Here’s hoping you don’t have any more issues from a different location.

I hate to be “that guy” that escalates the paranoia, but… now some mail-stealing creep knows when your house will be empty. Maybe you should ask a neighbor to keep tabs on your house during the wedding, and the honeymoon if it’s right afterwards as well.

That’s really crappy. I’d use another of the same envelope and write a nasty, threatening note on a piece of cardstock for the guy. Something about how its a crime to go in other people’s mailbox and you have a picture of him doing it (eventhough you don’t).

@liquidschwarrtz:  Thanks for the warning. Take your packages/invitiations directly to the post office just to be sure.

ACK! That is awful! My fiance is paranoid about this and I always kinda blow it off, but now I’ll have to be more careful!
