My first post, and I’m venting already. Am really regretting the decision to make my own invitations. First, the printer I bought for the job spewed up all of the samles I ordered, and the thinner card I ordered as a substitute doesn’t match the envelopes. Less than three months to wedding, so going to have to send them as is. Now have to find envelope seals, and check postage, and then think about evening invites… All too stressful..
How are other bees coping. I need something to stop me obsessing about wedding details, which in the great scheme of things don’t really matter.

I’m doing my own invites as well and they are driving me crazy. I’m having to print the text on regular weight paper, cut them down, and then glue them to heavier cardstock which I also have to cut on my own. Keeping the lines at 90-deg angles have been the most difficult part. I had to trim down the website cards numerous times – total pain in the butt.
I drafted up the RSVP cards, ran a test page and then realized that when cut them down, they will not fit in the envelopes I purchased – I had to completely redesign them (that’s what I’ve been working on all morning). Urgh.
I didn’t want to just order invites online.
I keep looking at the two invites for friends’ upcoming weddings on my fridge and remind myself that I could have done the same and ordered them online, but that I wanted something a little more personal and DIY-y. I know they will be great when I finish, but it’s just so time consuming.
So far, the website information card is complete, I’m working on the RSVP postcards, and have started designing the invitations. I hope to have everything finished up by the end of the month.

Sounds like you’re doing well. I ordered a paper trimmer online too, fiskars, which was okay for cutting though could only do one sheet of card at a time. Also had creasing blade, but a bit tedious to line up. Finished result looked good though, just majorly time consuming!
I ordered save the date magnets online, but wasn’t fussed with any of the invitations to order (except for ones that were 10 times out of my budget). Oh, well, at least people should be getting all of the relevant info soon, which is all that matters.
