I’m planning to order my invites soon and am hoping for some feedback on timing (yes, I know this is well in advance but I want to order them now while wedding paper divas is having a great sale!). Please let me know if this timeline makes sense in terms of turn around time, and padding in enough time to hunt people down for their rsvps!
Final count is due June 1st
RSVP deadline – May 10th
Have invites out by the end of March/very beginning of April.
I was contemplating having the deadline be May 1st to pad in some more time – but the rsvp turnaround time would still be 4 weeks (sent by end of March). Thoughts?!?

What is your wedding date? Your invitations should go out 6-8 weeks prior to the wedding, and your RSVP date should be no more than 2-3 weeks prior to the wedding.
I understand the desire to have an early headcount, but many people won’t know their availability more than a month in advance.

June 2015? I say wait. There will be a lot more sales. P,us, if you don’t have all your wedding logistics yet, then you might want to wait until you do.
I know I got all my invitations, programs, paper signage etc early and now I really wish I would have waited as 1) I’ve found others I like better and 2) I could have got a better deal.

MrsTtoB: Ya, I suppose we can wait. We have all of our logistics in place – but we do an have issue with not knowing where we will be living when invitations go out (we might move in March). So we do need to figure something out in terms of if we were to use a stamp with return addresses instead of having them preprinted – because we can’t really wait until March to order them given that we want them to go out at the end of March and we are having my mom do all of the calligraphy and I need to give her plenty of time to do that. Can anyone recommend good stamps?
