Since we are having a sit down dinner at the reception and that means we need an accurate “head count”, do you send an invitation to the Minister/Priest so they can return the RSVP? We aren’t sure what the correct procedure is. Does anyone have a suggestion?

I don’t know the proper etiquette, but we did send an invitation to our officiant and his wife. They were also one of the first to return their RSVP card with their dinner choices correctly initialed 🙂

It’s always nice to send an invitation, but not required – you could also invite them in person, call, or email them to invite them, since they are, technically, a vendor. If you do plan to invite them, it’s nice to invite them with their significant other if they don’t know anyone else there, and make that clear in the invitation.
That being said, don’t be disapointed or surprised if your officiant declines.

I think it would be a nice gesture to send an invitation. They would aprreciate it and it would make them feel a part of your big day!
