The last day or so my FI and I have been trying to think about how to word our invitations. We have agreed on the basic bit, but the part that we really don’t know how to deal with is the guests bringing their childern.
I have 5 younger cousins with whom we are both close to (all under the age of 16) but 2 of my other cousins have kids as well, whom I have never met because they were kids that their GF’s already had with someone else, not to mention that I haven’t even met these GF’s.
I’d really just like to be able to invite the 5 that I am close with and thats it, because we are close and I don’t know the other kids or their mom’s for that matter. I just dont’ know how to word it. Plus to make matters worse, one of the perviously menioned cousins whose (whose daughter I am close with as well) GF I haven’t met is preganant and will be having a baby several months before our wedding. We both DO NOT want babies at the wedding, but would like for my cousins daughter to come.
With the cost of our venue’s meals we just cannot afford for everyone to bring their childern.
We really just don’t know how to handle it all…. Has anyone beeing in a similar situation? Any suggestions?
