I realize your parents are the ones hosting, but maybe you could put all 4 parents on as hosts on the invites? As long as it didn’t offend anyone in your family.

@leahthehun:  Maybe ask them if you can take it off again then and do something else at the reception to recognize their contributions to the wedding?

I don’t think your FI’s parents will be happy left off the invite when your parents are on there, I think its either all or nothing, otherwise just together with their families works too.

You could do the whole Mr & Mrs Bride’s parents joyfully invite you to share in this celebration of friendship, love, and commitment as their daughter Bride weds Groom, son of Mr & Mrs Groom.

@pharmy:  this was my suggestion too!  It sets your parents as the host and mentions his parents but serperate from the hosting party… I couldn’t think of another good way to have it both ways!

@leahthehun:  What does it look like and where are you getting it from?  Some you can manipulate that better than others.

I totally altered my wording plan for the sake of design, but I didn’t have any parental feelings to take into account. 😛
