I’m starting to think about how to word invitations and I need some advice.
His parent’s generously gifted us with the majority of what we are using to pay for the wedding and honeymoon (gift was more than what we plan on spending, wedding budget is about $10,000).
My parents paid for my dress and my Mom will be making all of our flowers by hand (lots of time, and she is paying for materials, $800 plus materials for flowers). They wanted to give more, but simply couldn’t due to finances.
My aunt and uncle contributed about $1000.
How do I word it to make sure everyone is acknowledged and no one is insulted? FYI: His parents gave us a significant amount, so are really the one’s hosting, but I want to acknowledge everyone who is contributing.
Also, on an unrelated note, am I supposed to put our return address on the envelope for the invites and the RSVP cards or the parents? I’m not sure what is generally done, very wedding ignorant. My parents live very far away. his parents are local.
Thanks for all your help.
