I am just trying to do my invitations and I am not really good at this kind of thing. I don’t know how I should word it.
Our ceremony is at 2 at a lodge we have rented
“Cocktails” if you want to call it that are at the guest hotel ( we have the pub blocked off as a place people can go to hang out basically as a way to get them out of the lodge so we can do photos)
Reception is at 6 back at the lodge
Is there any easy way to put that into like 2 or 3 lines on the invite? (I’m on a budget so I was trying to avoid using a separate reception card lol)

@sbruin99: Are you paying for drinks at the hotel pub from 2-6pm? If you are, then you can mention
cocktails 3-6pm __ Pub at ___ hotel
reception 6pm _____ Lodge
If you are not providing the cocktails, I would not mention it at all. People will figure out that they have 3 hrs to fill on their own tab.

@julies1949: we are providing a free drink at the bar… I was kinda of the same mind as you… people will know they need to go find something to do. My mom is really pushing the cocktail hour thing to make sure people leave the lodge.

@sbruin99: If you are only providing one drink per person, I would not mention it.
If you say cocktails at the bar, your guests will justifiably believe that their drinks are on your tab.
