I’m trying to help out my soon to be sister in law 🙂 They are getting married in Hawaii in September and they’re having a backyard casual celebration the weekend after they get back. There will probably be about 100 people there. They want casual, it’ll be mainly clam chowder and crab with corn and potatoes (they’re going for seafood).. and they’re asking a couple of people to bring sides and salads. It is also BYOB. How do you word all that on an invitation!? lol And I think she wants to avoid putting the parents names on there, as its questionable that either of hers will attend.
Thanks for the helps bees!

I’d say something like “You’re invited to a celebration of the recent marriage of X and Y! Date, time, place. A meal will be provided – feel free to bring beverages.” Something like that?
Yum, I wanna go to this seafood party!

When I have BYOB parties, I usually say something like:
Come and Celebrate XXY With Us
We’ll feast on XXY
Feel free to bring the beverage of your choice.

nadnuk: Great idea 🙂 I love the idea of letting them know what type of meal we’ll be having!
