We did the “daughter of/son of” thing, especially because it’s double confusing as FI’s mom and SF are inviting friends (different last name from him) and my parents are married to one another but my mom didn’t change her name so I have my dad’s last name but not my mom’s, but for people who primarily know her they won’t know who I am anyway…. So that helped us. Also maybe putting a contact info section on your website with your email addresses, MOB, FOB, MOG, FOG, etc etc emails as well. (also might help you out because people will contact them with questions about registries and such so they’re not all calling you)

I’ve never seen names on a reception card, but it could work!  What about something like “Please join us for dinner and dancing in honor of the new Mr. and Mrs. Smith” (if you are changing your name)?  That would get his last name on there, at least.

Can you have the RSVPs go to your parents’ address?  That would get their names (and your maiden name) on a piece of the invitation, too.

ours is on the insert cards (hotel accommodations) and then if people visit our wedding website its on there as well. Our RSVP email address has our names there too. I think that should work!
