I would always include zip with any address.

I would leave it off because really the zip code is for USPS/UPS/etc, and unless there are TWO “Anytowns” in “State” where you might be holdng your wedding, I doubt any guests are going to be confused 🙂

I read somewhere that the zipcode does not belong on the invitation.  People should be able to figure out how to get there without the zipcode.  It’s not like they will be sending gifts to that address.

No zip necessary on the invitation. If you think it will help your guests, you could put it on a Directions and Maps insert. They should be able to get there with the name of the venue and the street address/city/state.

I left the zip code off of mine and just put the address.

I think your question is a little confusing – you’re talking about in the text of your invite right? I wouldn’t include a zip code there. I think some of the PPs might think you mean on the envelope, where I would always include a zip.

Yup – I think no zip is needed. The only way in which it could matter is if there is a case where there are two of the same addresses in the city, but different zips.

I didn’t…i’m getting married in Beltsville, Maryland and everyone who’s going knows where it is. Besides, you don’t even need a zip for GPS or mapquest directions.

Our reception was at a beach house out of state and I did not include the zip code on the invitations. Actually I didn’t even think about it being proper or not until I read this post! Our guests found their way just fine.
