I'd say just got ahead and match the liner (black swirls) to this invite for now. Then incorporate the wedding colors from here on out. If you use the wedding colors for the liner and it doesn't match the invite it might be weird since ppl don't know your colors are more blues and green.
By the time the wedding comes, no one will remember your invite colors...
GL deciding!
I really like envelope liners that are a little funky and not so match-y with the rest of the invite. I think its a great, subtle and simple way to begin introducing your colors in a unique way! Good luck!

I picked a very basic ecru invitation with black writing. My wedding colors are blues and greens.
I have a choice of 2 liners for the invitation envelope, and I can't decide. One is a light blue/grey with ecru brocade-y kind of design scrolling on it . . . ecru same as envelope . . . doesn't match the invitation but matches the colors of the wedding. My concern is that it could look like a non-sequitur with the rest of the invitation.
The other is ecru with black swirls and the like that matches the swirliness of the font on the invitation. It will go perfectly with the invitation, but then none of the wedding colors will be in the invitation.
Need to decide today!
Any help much appreciated. Can't believe I'm agonizing over something so ridiculous, but I guess that's what wedding planning is all about!
