@msduck – don’t worry, you’re not alone. My wedding is in Aug too, and I haven’t ordered the invites yet either. I think we still have time. I am planning on placing my order at the beginning of April from http://www.canadianwedding.ca and then sending them out in May. Regarding RSVP date, I think I’m going to go with mid July as we are inviting out of towners…

Have you ordered your bridesmaid’s dresses yet?

Usually you send out invites 6-8 weeks in advance. We are having a lot of out of town guests so we are sending ours out 8 weeks in advance and the RSVP date is four weeks before. More so because its an easy date to remember.

I heard you send them out about 2 months before the wedding.

Our date is 8/8 so I will send them out at the end of may or early june.

I sent out save-the-date cards in January

We sent Save the Dates on August 13, so many of our local people got them in the mail on Valentine’s Day. 🙂

We ordered invitations at the beginning of January, and will send them out by the end of May. RSVP date is July 16, wedding is August 9.

Yay August!  We have yet to send our save the dates (they are going tomorrow — I PROMISE!) and I’m planning to send our invites June 1.  We have everyone coming from out of town, so I want to give everyone ample time!

YAY for august 09 brides! We are sending our invites out probably 8 weeks ahead- so by the last week in June/July 1. Our calligrapher wants them by early May though, so we will probably order in late March. So soon!!! Yay!!

We have our BM dresses done…just need to get a DJ, really. Have you all done that yet? I feel like I’m behind on that… and need to get to it!!

I’m 8.8.09 and we’re pushing the limits on invitations going out – we’re just excited to know who’s going to be able to come as so many people will be from out of town. We’re sending the invites out in mid May and asking for an RSVP in mid June. Way in advance I know, too much?

My Save the Dates were sent out 3 weeks ago. I’m ordering invitations next week and will be sending them out mid June. There are no rules to went to send out invites but make sure you give plenty of time for your out of town guests to get things together.

Our wedding is on August 22 and we decided to send out the invites on June 12, with an RSVP date of August 1. Our room block deadline is July 24 and we have to give the caterer an entree breakdown by August 13. I think two weeks should be enough time to track down all the stragglers, right?

It feels like a long way off because we haven’t started designing the invitation suite yet, but we’re delivering the envelopes to the calligrapher (a friend of FI’s mom who is going to do them as a wedding gift – hurrah!) next week.

We’re sending them out during the first half of May…I don’t have a set date, just that I want them all out of here by the end of May =P. We’re setting our RSVP date for june 30th, giving our guests about a month to RSVP and then a good chunk of time before August 8 to follow up on stragglers and the like.

We pretty much decided on mailing our invites June 26, giving exactly 8 weeks. RSVP date is July 27th, giving us 4 weeks to get RSVP’s in. I hope I shouldn’t be doing this way earlier though, because we do have a decent amount of OOT guests.
