Did you have a Save the Date sent? That is traditional for a destination wedding especially. But I don't know, I think that is weird they need your reservation 6 weeks early. I would either send invitations out early. Or put something on your website about hotels and go via word of mouth, and send invitations out at normal time.
I'm sending mine out probably around the 8 week mark. For yours, I would suggest sending out STDs if you haven't done so already. That will get the word out to your guests that it's an OOT wedding. To me, that should be ample time for people to mark their calendars and plan. However, I would still send out the invites a couple weeks earlier, like maybe at 10 or 12 weeks?
I did send Save the Dates out actually. I sent them out in late August/Early September. I will probably send my invites out around Mid-March then to insure that everyone has adequate time to respond and reserve their rooms. Thanks for the advice, Ladies!

Hello My fellow June Brides!
When are you sending out your invitations?
The reason I ask: I'm having a sort of "destination" wedding as in the wedding will be held on my college campus and pretty much all but like 3 couples will be travelling to the town. We have to get the rooms reserved at least 6 weeks in advance. Does that mean I should send out my invites like 3 or 4 weeks earlier?
Any help would be appreciated!
