I thought I’d share my process of putting my invitations together, which I just finished. I bought invitations with a Vistaprint coupon ages ago, and ened up a little disappointed with the thickness of the paper– it seemed really flimsy– but I loved the design. So I bought gold cardstock and cut it into pieces slightly bigger than the invits (but still fitting into the matching envelopes) and glued it all together. With another Vistaprint coupon I got matching rehearsal dinner invits and info about lodging printed on matching paper. I ended up assembling everything with gold string and attaching little tags so I can write short notes (I love personalizing things for people). There will just be enough room to write something like “can’t wait to see you” or “hope you can make it”. My total cost for these was about $60 for 60 invitations I think (although I wasn’t keeping very good track when I bought little things like glue and the tags, and I also bought a paper cutter to use that I’m not including in that cost since I’m using it for other stuff too).

Yay, thanks guys! I don’t have anyone to show them to so it’s always nice to get the bee’s nod of approval 🙂

They look great! Amazing job! Invitation making is my least favorite wedding related thing to do. Hopefully, mine comes out as amazing as yours.

Clean and classy, I love it. The gold cardstock was a great idea, and I love the little tags for personalized sentiments.

I love them! I was considering Vistaprint too, and I was wondering what “type” of paper you got from them. I got their free invitations kit, and I honestly couldnt tell what was the thickest!
