Recently, I’ve gone to a few paper stores to price out invitations and can’t believe the amount of money it is just to order invites!!! I’ve also priced out some invites on Etsy that i’m finding to be very pricey as well. I would normally make my own invtes, but i’m in school full time, and I do not have the time to make them. I hate the fact that my taste is pretty expensive, but I simply cannot afford the pricey tag. Where did you ladies order your invitations?

@Missprincessmegs: you could consider finding a design you like from etsy and they can send you the digital design. You could then upload it and get it printed somewhere like catprint.com
also, there are a few places where you can find free designs like weddingchicks.com or http://printableinvitationkits.com/

Oh my goodness! You took the words out of my mouth. It really is so pricey! And I have expensive taste too. I ended up going to Michael’s ( I think your have Michaels in the states, not sure though – big craft store) and got a box set that I printed myself. They are not my favorite by any standards but I do like them and they were less than half the cost of the ones I did really like. So to me it’s worth it.
I used a 40% off coupon so for about $30 I got 30 “sets” each including a pocket folder, invitation, RSVP card, RSVP envelope, lable for the pocket fold, and a “additional info/direction” card.
I was probably going to order from David’s Bridal, weddingpaperdivas.com, or exclusively weddings if I hadn’t gone this route.
