I like the design, but its a bit hard to read, almost a little too much going on. So I would either cut down on information, or change the color of the font... Light colors some times are a bit hard to read... I do think the type of invite would work tho.
SO cute!!! I think the light blue could be a bit darker - it is hard to read. I love the style though!
@ccrane: yeah, i definitely understand about the font. it's actually a different color in photoshop. it's more of a medium-dark teal. also, the purple is more of a plum, and the green a sage-ish color. flickr changed the colors dramatically, so just ignore that! :)
omg I really love them. Not only do i love the design but the wording is perfect. Fun but gets the message across. My only suggestion would be to change the color of the fond. The blue and green are very hard to read. I would go with something darker. Also I thik there are a bit too many colors. maybe stick to two?
The only constructive criticism I had was about the color being too light, but since you already responded about that, I think they are awesome!
i love it! the blue is a bit light, and its busy, but I kinda like that about it! your name should be listed first, though.
I feel like the outline font + the bright colors make it next to impossible to read. But they remind me a lot of one of my invite mockups.

@Ilikepink: i said this a little earlier, but the colors aren't so bright on my computer. they're much more legible on my computer. the photo website i uploaded them to changed the colors. it looks much more subdued on this side of things! i really like your invitation. is that the one you went with?
I am a graphic design nerd, so I make new ones all the time! Hahaha.. We aren't getting married until June 2011, so I have a awhile to decide what I really want. I just made this one... Ugh. Procrastination City around here.

your font colors in the invitation is very nice, springy/happy looking.. a bit harder to read tho, seems a little to light (from my computer screen). style/idea is excellent, very modern and unique!
thanks! i'm hoping the colors will print a little darker, like they are on my screen. cross your fingers for me!
I love it! I would totally use those if they fit our wedding and style. GREAT JOB!
thanks everyone. y'all are too nice. i feel much more confident. :)

hi y'all! i just finished my invitations, and i wanted to show them to y'all and get your opinions. i wanted something a little different and unexpected. to those enveloped in the wedding blogosphere (which is all of us!) the idea of a concert poster themed invitation is nothing new, but i know that no one on my guest list would have ever seen such a thing. every wedding i've ever been to has been extremely traditions--including cream, silver trimmed, script font invitations. we're not the traditional type, and our wedding will definitely reflect that. i wanted to begin the fun/"nontraditionalness" with sweet invites. we are serious music lovers, and go to about 2 shows a month, so these seem perfectly in tune with who we are. also, keep in mind that i'm an amateur at this. any constructive design suggestions/help would be appreciated too. :)
so, basically what i want to know is:
1) YOUR OPINION! what do you think? are the aesthetically pleasing or just crazy looking? would you want to receive these? is there too much/not enough information? etc. etc.
2) our wedding is more on the vintage/gardeny/anthropologie/indie side of things, and is taking place in the backyard of a B&B. do you think the invitations work with that sort of setting?
thaaaaanks hive!
UPDATE: they were too big to upload, so you can see the set here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/48948766@N08/
