Hi date twin!
I don't think that's too early if you have people who need to book travel arrangements.
We're not sending ours out until the end of March - maybe the week after March Break (so, anytime in the "20s" of March). I haven't even placed the order for the invites yet, to be honest, but I don't think addressing them will take very long since it's only about 50 invites and I like that sort of project. Good luck!
ETA: We don't have many out of town guests and they all already know the date. The only couple flying in (FI's sister and her bf) have already booked their flights and will be staying with family!
mine have gone out already because we are having a list and b list... so far rsvps are coming in steadily and im glad i sent them out cause alot of people are only bring themselves and their spouses and leaving kids at home which means more people can come.. the b list group will be getting their invites probably by march 1st

We wont be posting ours until mid/late April although we will be getting them late March.

I agree with PPs that say mid-March. RSVPs traditionally give 6-8 weeks to response, which is exactly what the mid-March date does. If you're concerned about OOT guests not having enough time to figure out logisitcs, maybe a little earlier, but since you already sent the STDs I think you should be covered!

I think you usually send them out 2-3 months before the wedding and have the RSVP date a month before.
I don't think that is too early. Our wedding is June 22 and I'm sending my invitations out march 1 with an rsvp date of April 15. We have a lot of out of town guests as well.
I was actually just thinking i may have made my rsvp date too early but i already have my invitations so there is no going back now.
We're having a destination wedding!! Our invites were sent out this January. Our RSVP deadline is March 1. I've received 3 RSVPs back (2 no, 2 yes) BUT, culturally, my family doesn't know how to do that, so they just booked with our travel agent.
We have 11/25 confirmed!
We're Sept 8th but I think we will send ours out around...hmm...third week of june?
Happy to see other June 2, 2012 brides! I'm in the process of picking out invitations so this post is really helpful, i'm hoping to have them done by the first week of march so I can send them out the second week. RSVP by May 1 sounds reasonable.

We already sent STDs, and are sending invites a little later than normal to try to cut back on the guest list. This may be frowned upon, but peeps have had time to plan!
With that being said ...
April 9th - invites go out
May 1st - RSVPs due
May 16th - final numbers due to the venue
June 1st - we get hitched :-D
If we do send out ANY earlier, it will be March 24th(?) at the soonest. This is the day that the new cherry blossom forever stamps are released, and that's our wedding theme. There's NO way we won't have these stamps!
Wedding date: June 2
Invites out: No later than March 10
RSVP date: April 27
We have to have our final numbers to the venue by May 18th, so this will hopefully give us plenty of time to follow up with stragglers. Of which, out of nearly 200, I'm sure there will be more than a few.

We know most everyone coming to the wedding, and we aren't too worried about the number because we aren't inviting very many people. We are pretty sure about the number of peeps coming :)

I sent out the invites this week. To a lot of people that seems early, but we didn't do STD's so I thought this worked well.

My wedding date is June 10th. We're not doing RSVPs so we'll probably send them out mid May. Culturally most people don't send them out until 2-4 weeks before.

I agree with the other brides about the june wedding invitation dates. My wedding is June 9th as I saw some other brides are.

Mail Out Day: Saturday March 17th, 2012 (i love st. patty's day and so does my fiance) So the middle of March is not too early. Congrats to all those soon to be brides out there! and may your new marriage be very blessed!
My wedding is Dec 15th.
I did a few STDs for the folks coming from out of the country, but that was about 25 out of an expected 175. So I will send out my invites by May so that the OOT'ers will have ample time to get their travel together, and maybe I can do a B list depending on the RSVPs I receive
Our renewal date is July 21, 2012
Sent invites out on May 14th
RSVP date June 15th.
I only sent out about 35 invites and only a few people are from out of state so I didn't feel it was necessary to send them any earlier.

When should I sent my invites out?
I had set a deadline of March 5.2012 to have them sent out by -is this too early?
About half our guests are coming from out of town & the venue is in a small tourist town. We sent Save The Dates in late November 2011.
