I really liked the look of these invitations for my navy and pink wedding but I'm not loving the bird detail on the left. Anyone have suggestions of a cute design to take the birds place? I'm thinking something more preppy then whimsical. Also, any suggestions on where I could get them custom made without the bird?

I love WPD! We got some of our party invites there. They are fabulous. Anyway... I agree that the bird is kind of, well it just looks off. However, I don't think you necessarily need anything to take the birds place. I like the swirl by itself!

Have you tried contacting WPD? I know they can manouver & change the layouts of the invites. Hmm perhaps they could just remove the bird for you? It looks like the swirl continues on, so removing the bird doesn't seem like it would hurt the design too much... who knows? It doesn't hurt to ask!!

You could get a monogram designed. That is pretty preppy and won't distract from the swirls I think. My wedding colors are navy and pale pink too! :)

I like the idea of just removing the bird. (It reminds me of the bird christmas ornaments my grandma has put in her christmas tree for the past 50 years!) Putting anything else there is going to be ... well, whimsical. :)

Ideas I did have, if you DO want SOMETHING:

-If your wedding has a theme, you could try to work something from your theme in

-Dark silhouette of a dancing couple

-a bell/pair of bells (still feels kind of winter-y though)

-a diamond ring

-textured heart

I'm not a big fan of the bird either: but, I do like the flourishes. Personally, I think adding another element only competes with them.

Here's a style you might like. Let me know your thoughts.

i would keep it simple, just by removing the bird or having a monogram replace it. Good Luck! I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to get them to remove the bird. I've heard WPD is pretty great to work with.
