You don't have to bring a gift, you can bring a little outfit or something if you choose to bring something. Kind of like a baptism or christening.
I usually just use that as a time to bring the baby gift I would have gotten the couple anyway. And I tend to get toys, not clothes, but either is appropriate :)
I'll just echo what has been said...I usually bring the baby gift I would have gotten anyway to a bris.
I think it's a nice gesture to bring a gift but certainly not required. Have fun! A Bris is definitely a new experience! :)
Thanks! I admit that I am nervous about the whole circumsion thing. I'm an ICU nurse and pray that I don't pass out! It would be quite embarrassing :)
just stay away from both view and aim of the action area, and you'll be fine ;)

My hubby and I are invited to celebrate the birth of a friend's son. However, we are not Jewish in faith and have never been to a Bris. Is is customary to bring a gift? If so, what is an appropriate gift?
