@almostmrsj:  …hmmmm….let’s do the math shall we?

Thanksgiving weekend + travel = Hell

{Hell x Carnival Cruise} + Wedding = Third Level of Hell on the Dante Scale

If it was my absolute best friend or a close relative then I would go, but otherwise no way.

I personally think weddings on thanksgiving (or Easter or Christmas) are extremely rude, but I have to attend one on thanksgiving this year for my cousin who lives 4 hours away. The ONLY reason I’m going is because she’s family and I’m making her wedding cake. (however if our son isn’t invited I won’t be going). I think your situation was definetly a no-brainer!!

Even for one of my best friends, I wouldn’t want to miss thanksgiving with my own family. Sorry, nope!

I’d only go if all my family were and it was family thing. I don’t know what they are thinking. Doing it during a major holiday, right before christmas where people probably don’t have the time or money.

Even if he went to the wedding and gave you a wedding gift, I still don’t think I’d go. Especially on a cruise!

I would have given that wedding a definite NO! I feel that you shouldnt go out of your way for people who cant do the same for you. Also I hate boats so I would say no sinmply for that fact if it were me! lol

@Nona99:  LOL.  Well said.

This is just…I don’t know.  Either this couple is totally self-involved and clueless or they really don’t want anyone to attend their wedding.

Now that he’s getting married, maybe he’ll realize how crappy his behavior was you and your husband but I kind of doubt it.

Wowwwww on Thanksgiving? That’s a no.

I love Carnival, though.
