Hey Girls!
Found this background on Vista and out of all of their templates it was the only one I felt I could work it. With promotions I ended up paying 37cents PER INVITE. I didn't have any help from anyone at all and I know that if I would have it would have been different but I compromised- college student paying for wedding with too much on her plate.
What do ya think?? There are 2 other cards that go along with it that I'll post when I get some pictures.
Thanks Bees!
I think they're cute! It's all about priorities, I plan on having something like this too! We don't all have the wherewithal to have/make fancy invites!
Those are super pretty and not too traditional AT ALL, great buy too! Yey!
Oh I love them!! The pink/green combo is really cute! And honestly, I think the invites are something that brides and graphic designers really obsess over but then guests don't pay much attention to them. Guests just look at them for the date and stats and then throw them away after the event. In my opinion, you are really smart to find a less expensive option and spend your money elsewhere, on more important things.
I love them! They're so pretty!!! The green/pink combo is adorable! Plus a great bargain is an added bonus, great job!
Aww, colorfulbride, I really like them! And I agree with others that you care far more about your invites than your guests will. We, too, will be going with a cheaper invite.
Super cute! Don't second guess yourself - these are cute regardless of how much/little you paid.
I love them! I simply printed my invites as well for under $1 each. People have RAVED about how nice and simple they are!!
I like your invites! They certainly don't look cheap.
I feel your pain because we also took the inexpensive route with invitations. FI's Aunt works for one of the big invitation companies and gave us a great deal. We saved money, but I am not totally in love with our invites.
I like them. I'd be pretty happy to see one of those stuck on my fridge for a few weeks. :)
I think they're great! Love the pink/green!!
I initially was obsessed with letterpress, then, we drew up a budget and figured an easy place to cut way back was invitations, so we'll be doing something similar! You don't have to spend zillions to have a great invite :-)
Again, I think they look WONDERFUl. If you want to give them a more formal look and some "oomf" then maybe consider backing them with cardstock. Even if its white/ivory card stock or maybe hot pink it would look really cute. It would make the card thicker and heavier (more postage) but typically the thicker the paper the more "lush" it feels.
I think they're beautiful! There is just enough pink that it 'pops' but not so much that it's overwhelming, and the green is a wonderful contrast color that compliments the pink. Very nice :)
Bella
shussssssh they are awesome! Good job girl! I think they are super cute and romantic!
They have a lily pulitzer look - pretty good and what a great price!
Dig the nailpolish :)
I think the invites are super cute and there is no way anyone would guess what you paid for them. I love when you get something that is both a great deal AND looks great!
Thanks Bees!!!! :) I needed to reminded of alll ^that! They're actually on a pretty thick linen paper which is nice...the 'rsvp' card was printed by vista print but our direction card will be printed on campus (for free) and then glued onto a thick pink cardstock...
I think my indecisiveness makes me second guess everything all the time, but I'm starting to feel excited about them :)
Melissabegins= I love that nail polish too! It's actually a very very deep red! :)
And it's true- I did obsess with the invites before I ordered them but my FI just pushed me to make a decision and commit. After finding this deal I felt like it wouldn't have been wise for me to pay anymore than the best deal.
I think they're really pretty! Great colors and not traditional or boring at all. I'd be excited about a wedding with an invite like that. :-)
I think those are adorable! I don't think they are "too" traditional at all. The colors on the invite and the ribbon really pop. Great job!
I think they look great and you got a great deal on them. I agree with PPs too that other than a few people, most guests really don't care about the invites and toss them after the wedding is over. I can't even remember what most of the wedding invites I've received in the past looked like, and the only one I saved was for my brother's wedding.
i love them and are totally fun with those colors. great job! nice find :)
The colors totally give it a fresh, more modern vibe, so they are not at all "too traditional". They are cute, and you got a great deal, so don't worry!
Those don't look too traditional to me. When I think of cheap traditional invitations I think of white ones with a silver or gold border. I'm in the process of picking out invitations and am trying to keep the cost down. That is my nightmare having a basic "traditional" invitation. I think having the color adds a modern vibe to it.
