Invites sent; when did you start receiving online RSVPs?

For my 1st daughter to marry – immediately. A cousin who said she’d wait until the due date, to figure out if she could travel, RSVPd no online, probably the day she got the invitation. A real slap in the face, as she promised she’d wait and see. Over half used it – others sent e-mails, texts, saw in person, etc.

Daughter #2’s wedding – Her FH’s sister must have checked out the website, and RSVPd for her family, as soon as she got the Save-the-date. I had to disable the online RSVP it, since there was a glitch and it didn’t send out confirmation e-mails. We put an e-mail address on the reception information cards, instead.

We had 50% of our list reply immediately. 25% took a month and we had to chase down the last 25%. Only 3 people used our phone # option. Hope you get yours soon!

DomesticDiva:  I forgot …1st wedding, with online RSVP on website (it got people to look at the website, which had lots of information and answered lots of questions). Of the 250 invited, all but 2 RSVPd, by 10 days before the due date, which was 3 weeks before the wedding. About 10% RSVPd no. About 75% RSVPd in the 1st few weeks, of receiving the invitation. The couple who didn’t bother – uncle/aunt of the bride, had to be chased down by my MIL. We won’t have to chase them for wedding #2, as they’re not invited.

I sent my invites out on the 1st and I’ve gotten ZERO online RSVPs and only three by mail! We sent out Save the Dates in November so I feel like people should already know if they’re coming or not!

For online rsvps, it’s really helpful to also email out the link to your website in order to maximize online rsvps. It makes it easier and saves ppl the step of having the paper RSVP card in front of them and typing the website address manually.

we emailed guests links to our website and electronic versions of our save the date (which was also snail mailed) and we had over 40% of our rsvps back before we even sent out invites. It’s a domestic destination wedding so we’re doing everything earlier than usual and more ppl know earlier if they’re able to make it or not. About a month after most invites went out and 4 months before the wedding, nearly 60% have rsvpd. Over the next month, we’ll send a reminder email and then, if ppl still haven’t responded, we’ll contact ppl to get the last 40% of our rsvps. Nice thing is that we should have 100% RSVPs by 3 months out (Knock on wood).

I think we got about a 20% online RSVP response lol. It took a lot of chasing down and texting to get people’s responses. We sent 60 invitations.
