- Wedding: July 2013
So I work for a fairly small agency. I worked in one office for about 8 months and became close to my three coworkers there (tiny office!). So, I invited them to my wedding.
there is another office next door to us (same agency) and a girl called Nadine works there. Nadine and I were always friendly, I would see her a couple times a week either dropping off mail or helping out with some work and we would chat briefly but not much else. She’s very nice and same age as I am.
i was just transferred to Nadine’s office a few days ago and now we will be working in a tiny office together five days a week. im sending out my invitations in a few weeks. She knows the other three drom the next door office are invited, she’s very friendly with them, and we’ve talked a bit about the wedding. But, we haven’t worked side by side for long. By the time the wedding rolls around we will have been working together for three months.
what should I do? On the one hand I want to invite her as a nice gesture, I like her, we’ll be working closely together and she knows the others. On the other hand, we really don’t know each other yet, and I’m not even remotely anticipating that I’ll develop any kind of friendship with the third girl, Jamie who works in the office with Nadine.
space at the venue is not an issue. I think it’s weird to invite her now, and I also think it will be awkward when the wedding does come and she isn’t invited but the three from the neighboring office are.
