I also have a 5 but I’m not upgrading yet because I’m not eligible. If I was, sure why not! If it’s free/cheap to do so, then you might as well. I wouldn’t bother upgrading if I had to pay a lot or buy it outright though, so that’s why I’m not upgading now.

Hmmm on second thought though, since it isn’t much of a change it might be worth it to keep your 5 and your eligibility and wait for the next upgrade.

DH has an iphone 5, I have 5S. There are a couple of cool new things, but nothing I would upgrade over if I had a 5 already. Wait for the next one.

I’m sure the 6 will be out before you know it! Unless you are having problems with your phone, why not wait until the next new phone?

I got the 5s a few weeks ago and so far I love it! I upgraded from the 4, so there’s a pretty good difference in processing speed. I also use my phone a LOT for photos, and coming from a photographer, the camera is very impressive (considering it’s in a phone!). It produces shockingly clear images, especially in comparison to my 4. Definitely great for everyday photos.

Now, I’m not sure if it is worth spending $200 for the upgrade if you’re only going from the 5 to the 5s. The difference between the two are not nearly as substantial as if you were going from an earlier model. Personally, I think I’d save my upgrade for another year and get the next model that comes out, but if you want to upgrade, I’m sure you’ll be happy with the 5s!

@blondie_bride:  I just upgraded from the 5 to the 5s. I haven’t noticed any marked differences. The camera is a tad better maybe (or maybe I just think it is because it’s new lol) and the phone itself is more visually appealing with the small details they added. I got the silverwhite one. The finger print reader is pretty cool. I upgraded because I had one available and I’m a psycho who needs to have the latest version at all times lol

ETA: my advice is to wait if you can. I just couldn’t help myself but unless you are coming from a model like the 44s or earlier, there isn’t much of a rush to make the change.

@blondie_bride:  My FI has the 5 and I think his photos are great! Saving the upgrade for an oppsie is a great plan I think!
