My FI just switched from an iPhone 4 to a Galaxy S3, because I already have one and he liked it. I love my phone, and he hasn’t put his down ever since we got it 24 hours ago, except to sleep and shower. He’s really enjoying it. I have a lot of opinions, but I don’t want to get into any debates, so just sharing his experience since it’s so applicable to your circumstances 🙂

Galaxy s3 is by far technically better and more affordable than an iphone (definitely 5 and I’m fairly certain 4s as well). I’d always recommend anything over apple tbh.

I’m typing this now with my s3 and it really is a wonderful phone 🙂 clear screen, good touch and compatibility, fast, decent battery. BF has the s2 and I’ve never heard any complaints other than he would rather have my phone (he’s a massive technical snob so that is saying something lol).

Anyway, best of luck finding your new phone ^^

I have the Galaxy S3 and I really wish I would have gotten the Iphone. I have an Ipad and I would like to be able to sync the calenders.

The Galaxy is way too big for my hands. I have to use 2 hands to text and that is annoying. The little gimmicky extras included with the phone are never used by me, and the imitation Siri isn’t sophisticated.  BUT that’s just my opinion. Obviously it’s a great phone…it’s rated better than the Iphone by most!

The screen on my phone is better than my SO’s Iphone 4s..more clear and the camera is also way better. It’s also faster than his.

The 4s isn’t much of an upgrade from the 4, and the iPhone 5 isn’t much of an upgrade from the 4s.  I think you would be happier with the GSIII.

I’m an Android Motorola RAZR user, my FI is an iPhone 5 user. I am much happier with my phone than he is with his. I can’t comment specifically on the Samsung, though.

I absolutely love my iPhone. I’ve had the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 5. The iPhone is incredibly fast and I get great service. I’ve taken awesome pictures on my iPhone. . . I tend to use it more than an actual camera these days. I honestly wouldn’t use any other phone.

There is a galaxy 4 coming out. Also, why a 4s vs a 5? There are pros and cons of both. I have an iPhone 5 so I would say that. Im sure people with the Samsung would say that one. I say you go to your local phone store, play with both, and get whichever one u prefer. I will say that the Galaxy has a MUCH better camera than my iphone 5.

I was debating between the iPhone 4S and the Galaxy S3 for a while and went with the Galaxy last week.  I absolutely love it.  The guy at the phone store said that all of the employees were switching over from iPhones to the Samsung one by one.  Only 2 of them still had iPhones because they are hard core Apple users and still liked the fact that they could sync all of their apple products.

After I had my phone for a few days my husband traded in his blackberry for the Samsung and he also loves it.

@mepayne:  I would either get a Galaxy 4s or wait for another iPhone to come out. I def wouldnt get the 4s.

I just upgraded to my new phone in December.

I was deciding between the iPhone 5 and the Galaxy S3, and after a ton of research and playing around with both of them in the stores for a loonnnggg time, I finally made my decision and got the S3, and I’m not looking back! I absolutely LOVE this phone. =)
