We’re using an ipod for our ceremony (and reception, but I’m not so worried about that) and I need some specific advice about how to use it. I’ve never had/used an IPOD before, so can you all tell me the easiest way to go about this? Put songs for the ceremony in separate folders? Is it just a matter of pausing after the first song, and pressing play when it’s time for the next?

We are also using an iPod, but just for the reception. We are using a DJ that offers and iPod service for only $150. That includes the whole setup and for him to program the songs in. We are going to have separate songs in separate folders for the cake cutting, first dance, etc. And we have designated someone to act as an MC to announce things and just setup and keep an eye on the iPod. My suggestion is to see if you can find a DJ that can program things for you. He/She will be able to blend the songs for your ceremony, so someone just has to press play. You could practise the setup at your rehearsal to make sure the timing is right.
