- Wedding: September 2015
Hello friends, how many of you used an iPod instead of a DJ? We are having a smaller wedding with around 100 guests, and our reception will be at a mansion that is already equipped with a sound system. The owner has offered to do the announcing for us, and he has done it before, so it won’t be his first rodeo. I’m not very good with playlists and whatnot, so on my RSVP’s I’m putting a song request line. I’ve also enlisted my maid of honor with the duties of loading it up and adding in more songs. She is very good with music and happy to do it. Does this sound like a good way to go? How many iPod horror stories are out there? If you used an iPod, what did you do that you liked, and what would you have done differently? Also, throw me ideas for the dollar dance, mother/son daddy/daughter dances, bouquet/garter toss background music and then the couple who catches them dance, and the one where all the married couples dance and they end up cutting it down so the couple married the longest is the last standing dance. That list got long. If I am missing any fun dances, let me know! I already have our first dance covered.
