The only "irridescent taffeta" I am aware of is when a regular taffeta dress is overlaid with an outer layer of irridescent organza. Is that what you mean?
Hmmm...that's a great question! I am saying iridescent taffeta since that's what the bridal lady said when she corrected me when I said, 'taffeta'. "It's not just taffeta," she said, "it's iridescent taffeta. I just don't want to you say the wrong thing." Ummm, yeah. She was a little overbearing.
I think it's also called duet taffeta. Maybe I'm wrong there too! There are too many new words and phrases to keep up!
snmcdowell - the way you describe it sounds like what my girls tried on. Do you have experience with it?!?
My bridesmaids dresses were by Jasmine B2 and they had an overlay of organza that was a slight irridescence to it. The material was great - it didn't wrinkle at all, survived the pouring rain just fine, and was by FAR the nicest material of all the dresses the girls tried on. It was sturdy and had a nice heft to it without being "crunchy" if that makes any sense.
snmcdowell, i've been checking out the jasmine lines... what was the main material - was it all organza? sounds like a great option...

Finding bridesmaid dresses has proven to be harder than I had imagined! I am wondering if anyone has experience with iridescent taffeta. Anyone? This is the color. What you you guys think? The actual dress is strapless, knee length, with rouching across the bodice. Unfortunately I can't find a picture of it anywhere!
Thoughts?
