Do we have any Irish bees?
My friend at work grew up in Ireland and had a mother and sisters that cooked the best homemade meals.
Hes been ranting and raving about ulster frys. Irish the Irish soda bread that goes with them.
I asked him to get me a recipe and he can’t seem to find one. And every recipe for soda bread I find is not correct. It’s Americanized.
Question: Do any Irish ladies have a traditional irish soda bread recipe?

Lol, I am not from Ireland…
BUT I do do a mean GOOGLE Search…
A Quick one for – Irish Soda Bread from Ireland – pulled up a bunch of results… and a key one was this Website
Society for the Preservation of Irish Soda Bread = http://www.sodabread.info/
It seems to have a lot of info, and of course some traditional recipes, think it is exactly what you are looking for !!

Actual Irish bee here, from Galway! Here is the traditional Ballymaloe recipe for soda bread, there is both a white and a brown version, brown would be more traditional!

Not Irish, but my husband is! Clarify with your guy if he is wanting Soda Farls – they are are like triangular biscuits. My husband insists that soda in the north is different than soda in the south. He doesn’t want the big loaf of bread with raisins and fennel seeds that we have here in the US.
