I just scheduled an anatomy ultrasound with the hospital that my birth center is affiliated with. It was supposed to be scheduled for 18 to 20 weeks, but it was scheduled for 17w3d. Is that too early? This is my final ultrasound of this pregnancy unless something goes wrong, and I want to make sure that we know the gender at that time as best as medical science can guess.

I would be less concerned about the gender and more concerned about the organs/bones that they are looking at are developed enough to tell if there is any deformity or abnormality.
I would double-check with your Dr, but I would probably rather have it a week or two later….

My doctor won’t book them until after 19. I would reschedule for purpose of baby being fully developed. 17 weeks is plenty early for gender but your baby may also not show the goods. The anatomy scan is booked between 18-22 weeks because baby should have all the major organs and bones.. so for THAT reason, I would reschedule.
