lisamarie4045:  That looks good! But it’s not up to me to say the final yes or no. You have to wear what you are comfortable with it (both wearing and financially). From a spectators/outsiders view, it’s a great set, looks very classic. Keep us updated & let us know what you decide to do!

lisamarie4045:  It’s not my taste…I find it too much.  But you’re the one wearing it…what do YOU think?  There’s your answer

lisamarie4045:  Can you afford it? Easily and without debt? If so, and you love it, go for it. Do I think it is too much? I think that it doesn’t look too flashy, just too thick for my tastes. If you love it, go for it.

It does look nicely balanced, and suits your hand….doesn’t look too big or gaudy, and if you like it (which i get the feeling you do!) and you can afford it, then go for it! Nice nail varnish btw, what’s the colour/make?

you should do whatever you want- who cares.

But since you asked- Personally no 2 carats is not too much but im not into the triple thick blingy look- hard to tell what I’m looking at and its hard to make out the details of your ering.

It isnt the carat amount that is too much for me but the width of all those bands. I dont care for it but I dont have to wear it. If YOU love it then you get it for YOUR finger. I wouldnt worry about what others think.

How about equivalent thickness plain metal bands? That would give you the width, but not detract from that gorgeous ring. I miss mine….36 days out from the wedding and I lost it on a train somewhere! *sniff*

My rings are 3 carats together and We are looking for another band to go on the other side. That will bring it to 4.25 carats. It’s personal choice. I’m from Southern California.  This isn’t considered gaudy here. Every time we go to Malibu or Hollywood it feels small. My center stone is about 1.25. I’d dream to have at least a 2carat. I know in some places that’s considered big. I just like big I guess. I also have huge chubby fingers. Size 8. I think if you like being do it! Who cares? Whatever makes you happy when you look at your ring.

I dont think 2ct is too much, but I think the whole set is just too much – too thick and chunky for my personal taste.  My set is 2ct total too and I think it’s pefect for me.  It’s completely up to your own taste.
