hiceeeee:  Cushions are all very different so one person’s 1.5 carat might look totally different from the next. Your best bet is to try some on so you can see for yourself.

I don’t have any pictures but I did try on several 1.5 cushion cut stones because it is what I had my heart set one. Due to the way they are cut (bottom heavy) they do face up smaller. The one’s I tried on looked more like a 1 carat rather than a 1.5.  I compared it to a 1.5 round and the round appeared much much much larger. In the end, I chose a round center stone and added a cushion halo to get the “cushion look”

Here is my 1.5 round center stone with a cushion halo. Finger size 6.5

Cushions do look smaller. I have a 1.21 ct, but looks more like a 1ct in a round shape. I think a 1.5 is perfect, but everyone has different likes and wants. If what you want is a 1.5 look on a cushion, you would have to go up to 1.75, maybe even two carats, from what I saw the the jewelry store. Here is a picture of mine.

Sorry! I do not know why they came out sideways. My finger size is 7.5, by the way.

lilsweetie:  I actually have no idea, I just got very lucky! I was at a stop light one day and it just looked really pretty, and I decided to take a picture with my cell. I’ve tried to do it again, but no such luck!

I know you’re asking for 1.5 carat, but for comparison’s sake, I am posting my 1 carat cushion cut. In real life, it totally holds its own, but it photographs even larger.
